Fri-Jado targets grab-and-go operators with new modular counters

Fri-Jado modular foodservice counter

Uxbridge-based foodservice and food retailing equipment provider, Fri-Jado UK Limited, has broadened its range of modular counters to meet the needs of grab-and-go operators.

The display counters are well established in the food retailing sector and are equally suitable for food to go applications, including convenience stores, sandwich shops, cafés and delicatessen, as well as quick service restaurants and cafeteria style foodservice operations.

The company offers models for the display of hot, chilled or ambient food, which may be supplied in 750mm or 1000mm case lengths. Modules may be easily suited to create in-line counter runs, for the display of hot, chilled and ambient food, providing a consistent merchandising solution for the complete food to go offer.

Fri-Jado’s range of modular service counters are available with a choice of easily cleaned square or curved glass profiles, which provide high visibility of merchandise, promoting impulse purchases. Cabinet illumination further enhances the visibility of the food on display.

Thermo glass insulation ensures stable cabinet temperatures and avoids compromise to the performance of adjacent modules. Modules are suitable for self-service or assisted service operations and feature ergonomic sliding rear glass doors, providing ease of operator access for service and restocking.

The counters are manufactured in stainless steel, with a powder coated interior and exterior finish, facilitating cleaning regimes. Fri-Jado’s modular counters are offered with a variety of custom finishes, cladding and colours to meet house livery and style. The company also offers a neutral base, suitable for mounting a coffee machine or checkout tills.

The range of hot counters benefits from a combination hot air and heated shelving, ensuring heat consistency. Hot air is circulated to each shelf to maintain optimum display temperature throughout the unit. The hot counters are suitable for a wide range of pre-cooked food to go items, including pies, pasties, savoury pastries, paninni, hot rolls, chicken portions and potato wedges.

Chilled units incorporate high performance refrigeration and precise humidity control to maintain stable storage temperatures. The chilled counters are designed for the display of a wide variety of snacks, including sandwiches, rolls, baguettes, wraps, sushi, salads, dairy products and cold drinks. Ambient merchandisers may be used for the display of high margin cakes, pastries and biscuits.
