Fulham Shore has indicated at plans to open 15 new restaurants across its brands in the next 12 months after agreeing increased funding from HSBC.
The group hopes to increase its portfolio of restaurants to a total of 60 sties: 45 Franco Manca sites, 14 The Real Greek and one Bukowski Grill franchise, with the help of a £8.5m loaned cash boost.
Fulham Shore opened its 33rd Franco Manca in Putney last week and it is currently building three more in the South East. A 13th The Real Greek is scheduled for opening in Bournemouth in the coming weeks.
Towards the end of its financial year (March), the group opened two Franco Manca pizzerias, both intended to be part of its 2017/18 opening programme, but opened ahead of schedule. This, combined with a delayed opening in Victoria, has led to higher than anticipated pre-opening costs for the year.
Further to its UK expansion, Fulham Shore has opened a seasonal Franco Manca pizzeria in Salina, north of Sicily. This will be operated as a franchise and Franco Manca will invest approximately £100,000 alongside local and international investors.
