Grand Union Chancery Lane

Grand Union will be opening its ninth restaurant and bar site in Wapping next year, but this time with a completely different ‘multi-faceted’ partner approach.

A 6,300 sq ft site has been earmarked by the company at the new Land Securities development, Thomas More Square.

Grand Union is inaugurating a ‘Concessionary Partners’ concept that will include an artisan coffee shop and a barber shop, with further additions to be announced soon.

Grand Union CEO Adam Marshall said it will be a “multi-faceted environment not yet seen in the industry”.

“We’ve taken inspiration from the top players in partnership concepts. Seven months in the making and we’re ecstatic to play a small part in further developing, what in my opinion is the greatest food and drinks capital.”

Grand Union has plans to expand across the capital and nationwide.

Grand Union Wapping is expected to open in May 2016.
