Greggs sausage rolls go from oven to home in under 30 minutes

Greggs Deliveroo

Greggs sausage rolls and sandwiches are now available through delivery following a deal with Deliveroo.

The two companies recently conducted a trial in Birmingham and, after deeming it a success, have now extended it to London, Bristol and Newcastle.

The Greggs menu on Deliveroo will feature a selection of popular menu items including breakfast, freshly ground coffee, savouries and sausage rolls, freshly-prepared sandwiches, salads and sweet treats along with various meal deal options.

The new service is initially available from seven Greggs shops across the three cities, but chief executive Roger Whiteside suggest the service could be expanded if it proves a hit.

“When it comes to food-on-the-go, our customers tell us that convenience is key. We’ve been working hard to make Greggs available to our customers when and where they want it, whether that be in offices, industrial estates, retail parks, travel hubs and at home.

“We’ve been working on our delivery services over the past year and we’re excited to launch a Deliveroo trial for our customers in London, Newcastle and Bristol. This will enable customers to enjoy our great tasting, good value food wherever they are, offering them the ultimate convenience.”

Deliveroo has pledged to get customers’ orders to them in under 30 minutes.
