Hobart Warewash is celebrating after a landmark 50,000th hood type machine rolled off its German production line, before going straight into commercial use.

Just nine years after Hobart manufactured the first PREMAX and PROFI hood-type models, the production of the 50,000th machine marks a “significant milestone” in the machine’s continued success story, the company said.

Hobart’s hood-type machines have undergone considerable improvement since 2008, with a raft of new features added to the range.

The machines’ water consumption has more than halved and cycle times have been significantly reduced, helping to save operators time and reduce kitchen overheads.

Tim Bender, sales director for Hobart Warewashing UK, said the growth of the product line was evidence of the need to continue evolving the offering.

“The unbridled success of our standard bearing hood-type dishwasher is a reminder of Hobart’s commitment to constantly redeveloping its products to ensure they are the very best they can be. I am thrilled that we can celebrate the production of the 50,000th machine and I look forward to the day we can say we’ve hit 100,000!” he commented.
