Danish catering equipment manufacturer Houno’s ‘Let’s Cook’ cloud-based technology has now been extended to its compact combi oven line, giving operators real-time remote access to all ovens across their estate via a mobile device.
‘Let’s Cook’ enables monitoring of oven performance and energy consumption, which can be used to assess and control energy costs.
Recipes and software can also be distributed from a central source, while the technology can be used to assess oven operation, facilitating preventative maintenance regimes to eliminate costly downtime.
Houno was one of the first manufacturers to launch mini ovens and claims to offer the world’s widest range of smaller models. It has seen success with convenience stores, forecourt outlets, quick service restaurants, pubs and fine dining establishments since rolling them out.
Despite their compact size, the company’s CombiSlim models will now benefit from the ‘Let’s Cook’ technology.
Recent years have seen most combi ovens introduce a form of cloud or networked computing to their products, meaning that ovens can be managed and monitored across multiple sites.
