British manufacturer Instanta’s credentials in the stadia sector have been given a boost following a deal to supply water boilers and beverage equipment to the home of reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.
The company, which manufactures its products at its UK factory in Southport, was chosen to provide the kit for the Etihad Stadium’s Fabulous Fan Fayre concept.
John Russo, director of public operations at Manchester City, said that management had decided to install around 100 Instanta units at the site, replacing a previous set-up that it had been using.
“Fabulous Fan Fayre is always striving to find new dispense solutions to deal with the demand for hot beverages,” he said. “The venue holds 47,000 people and is destined to exceed 60,000 over the next few years. With the new Instanta set up we have an operation that allows matchgoers to enjoy tea, coffee, hot chocolate and Bovril on tap, and we have the ability to serve it quickly and efficiently.”
Russo added that the club was also happy with the operating performance of the units since the installation took place. “The energy efficiency afforded by the Instanta range has proved to be a great benefit which is an added bonus.”
