Foodservice equipment supplier Jestic has announced the launch of the new Edge 1830 series for the UK market.

The announcement follows the news that it had extended its portfolio and gone into partnership with the US-based manufacturer last year.

At the optimum size for a high-street restaurant operator, the Edge 1830 features a 30-inch cooking chamber and a 18-inch belt width, allowing multiple dishes to be cooked at once, while the option of single, double or triple stacked decks gives increased capacity to meet demand during peak trading periods.

The 1830 range also features Edge Oven’s patented iHeat burner and ignition system, allowing the operator to control both gas and combustion air to preserve efficiency.

This unique system delivers just the right amount of gas while helping to maintain energy efficiency and reduce running costs over the life of the unit.

To achieve a near silent operation, the 1830 also features an inverter-controlled, direct drive fan, while an innovative design ensures the front fascia on the oven remains cool to touch, protecting those working in a busy kitchen environment.

Available in a choice of sizes, the Edge oven range is able to offer a capacity from 25 pizzas per hour up to 300 pizzas per hour depending on the configuration.

Steve Morris, sales director at Jestic Foodservice Equipment, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing the Edge 1830 to market following the announcement of our exclusive distribution agreement in the UK. The ideal size for an addition to existing restaurants looking to add pizza, this latest oven combines an 18-inch belt width, with the unique Edge iHeat burner, to achieve a uniform bake and remarkable capacity.”
