The Koh Group says that the opening of its 11th Koh Thai Tapas outlet in Romsey last month has been a success.

The Hampshire market town has welcomed the new restaurant, driving sales above expections, according to Andrew Lennox, founder and CEO of The Koh Group.

“Romsey has opened incredibly well and, whilst we are in the honeymoon period, that attention to detail and top class service seems to be going down well with the locals. We look forward to seeing how the site develops,” he said.

The company’s first trading report says that in its first month the outlet has averaged 90 covers a night, sold 832 pints of Asahi and created 121 of its signature Dragon’s Ruin cocktail.

Koh’s Own Chicken Satay was the top selling tapas dish with 467 served.
