Leading food prep brand completely eliminates BPA from all its products

Sweden-based food preparation machine manufacturer Hallde has completely eliminated the use of Bisphenol A (BPA) in its products.

The use of this chemical compound is regulated by law and by EU regulations that impose limits.

Jan Sigurdh, CEO of Hallde, said: “Manufacturing food processing machines that have direct contact with food entails a substantial responsibility.

“It is important to prevent the risk that a substance like BPA, which can disrupt hormonal processes, from ending up in our food. For this reason, the obvious choice for us is to eliminate BPA throughout.”

Hallde is an ISO 14001-certified company which says it is striving for a better environment and seeking to inspire others to accept their responsibility in a sustainable future.

The company has more than 80 years’ experience of developing and manufacturing commercial food preparation machines.
