Operators will be able to rent TurboChef ovens from £55 a week and combi ovens from £61 under a new rental scheme introduced today by Lincat and Middleby UK.

The company is aiming to appeal to users that are facing cash constraints coming out of Covid or having to utilise capital elsewhere in the current climate.

The rental scheme is operated in partnership with Instant Equipment Rental (IER) and will be available through both Lincat and Middleby UK’s distribution partners.

Although equipment rental is not necessarily an area that either business is known for, Lincat sales and marketing director Paul Godfrey said it would provide new businesses or those looking to expand rapidly with access to the latest equipment without capital outlay.

He explained: “The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the foodservice industry hard. We realised one way to help our distribution partners to grow their businesses is by enabling them to reach a market that does not normally have access to our products due to cost barriers or where they are serving operators looking to utilise their capital elsewhere.

“We were keen to work with a company who share our ethos of being easy to do business with and IER are the perfect fit. When a partner receives an enquiry from a potential customer, they can access the IER online rental calculator to obtain an instant rental estimation. If the customer wishes to proceed, the partner will be advised within the hour of IER’s finance decision.”

Contracts are available for periods of between one and five years, and can include emergency breakdown cover and preventative maintenance.

Rental prices for a Lincat Combi are from £61 per week while an Opus fryer costs £30 per week. Users can get a Turbochef Eco from £55 per week and a Concordia coffee machine from £149 per week.

Kirstie Lassallette Desnault, group head of Instant Equipment Rental (IER), said: “We are delighted with the fantastic response we have received to the rental scheme from Lincat and Middleby UK’s distribution partners, we are already gaining real traction.

“The extensive product training our team has received from Lincat and Middleby UK has proved invaluable in supporting the distribution partners and their customers. It is exciting times for all parties.”
