Lincat customers will now have until 5pm to place orders through its website for next-day delivery, providing a quicker service for those looking to get hold of spare parts and new equipment.
By extending the previous 3pm cut-off time, Lincat claims that it now delivers one of the industry’s fastest next-day turnaround times for catering equipment and spares purchases.
The move follows the recent launch of its new website, which streamlines the purchasing process for distribution partners and end-users.
The new website enables caterers to compare and choose equipment, access detailed technical product information and buy spare parts online, in what is a first for the commercial kitchen sector.
Distributors have access to a dedicated portal on the website, which allows them to build project baskets, access live stock updates and make swift purchases using a ‘fast order’ function. Complex shipping arrangements can be accommodated online too.
Helen Applewhite, marketing manager at Lincat, said: “Our new 5pm delivery cut-off will benefit caterers, equipment distributors and engineers. Items from our stock of over 5,000 products and 3,000 spare parts can be delivered the next day, minimising downtime for caterers and allowing them to hit the ground running. This extended period, coupled with our pre-10am and pre-12pm delivery options, means dealers can order by 5pm and their customers be using their equipment for lunchtime service the following day.”
With the new website, end-users can source spare parts directly online, but finished product purchases continue to be routed through its dealer partners.
