Lincat planning a “no frills” induction oven range for UK market

Lincat is cooking up plans to reveal a “no frills” induction oven range in the next three months, it can be revealed.

The British catering equipment manufacturer is calling it the ‘Phoenix’ range and will make it available to the UK market in the spring.

The “easy-to-clean” induction hob top is constructed from 6mm thick high impact resistant glass. It features six 1.185 kW induction zones, with in-built pan detection to conserve energy and ensure that heat is not lost into the kitchen.

Lincat is not the first British manufacturer to introduce an entry-level induction oven range to the market. Last year Glen Dimplex Professional launched an “affordable” line of Titan cookers under the ‘Titan’ brand but subsequently axed it after refocusing its business on water boilers.

Lincat’s new offering is part of a series of launches that it has scheduled in the run-up to Hotelympia.

It has just released two FriFri fryers that are free standing versions of the 622 built-in models in the Basic + and Vision ranges, as well as 622 Super Easy, which is not currently available as a built-in model.

“We are looking forward to unveiling a varied selection of new and innovative products at Hotelympia,” said Helen Applewhite, marketing manager at Lincat. “Whilst it’s a little too early to share all of the details, we hope that the information we can provide at this point will encourage customers old and new to visit the Lincat stand during the show to see our exciting new products for themselves.”
