Lincat has promoted group export manager Paul Godfrey to group sales and marketing director, where he will be responsible for the management and growth of UK sales across the Lincat, FriFri, IMC and Britannia brands.
Mr Godfrey joined Lincat last year having previously managed the UK business for catering logistics firm Socamel UK.
He boasts more than 30 years’ experience in the foodservice industry and spent 18 years at Hobart Cooking Solutions, first as development chef before moving into a range of sales, national account and product management roles.
Prior to that, he was classically trained as a chef, and worked his way through the ranks to become the head chef, of a variety of independent outlets.
He said that working on the export side of the business had been fantastic, but he was now looking forward to a new challenge.
“It’s an exciting time for the business, as we create a closer synergy with our sister brands IMC and Britannia, with a strong pipeline of new products being developed. I’m looking forward to helping bring these new products to the market, and further strengthening the excellent relationships we have with our partners and end-users both here in the UK and overseas across all four brands.”
The appointment is the second senior leadership move in the space of as many months for Lincat. Chris Jones, the group managing director of Lincat, IMC and Britannia, was recently handed an expanded role that now sees him responsible for Middleby UK’s commercial foodservice division.
Mr Jones said: “Our strategy for 2019 has been to develop closer working partnerships with our sister companies, IMC and Britannia, so we are able to provide dealers and end users with a one-stop solution for all kitchen and back bar needs. This move is enabling us to develop new, innovative products, expand into new markets, and increase market share – things which have been driven by Paul in his export role. His promotion is well deserved and I’m looking forward to seeing the positive impact he’ll have on our future growth.”
