Loungers bolsters kitchen storage facilities

Potwash makeover

High street café and bar chain Loungers has moved to improve its back-of-house storage facilities by teaming up with Cambro Manufacturing.

Having been introduced by mutual contact, Yate Supplies, Loungers – which was founded in Bristol in 2002 and consists of 72 establishments across the UK – is now using a number of Cambro’s best-selling products throughout the chain’s estate.

The chain is currently utilising Cambro’s Camshelving and container systems while trialling their service trays and shelf-life labels, as well as looking at taking on more Cambro products.

Alex Marsh, central operations manager at Loungers, says that the build quality and product longevity of Cambro’s kit has endeared it to the company. “This makes it an easy choice, as the hard-wearing nature of Cambro equipment means that they’re often the most cost-effective solution,” he said.

Loungers is currently in the process of gradually replacing the wire shelving that it used to have in its back-of-house areas with Cambro’s Camshelving solution.

Brian Lavelle, UK and Ireland accounts manager at Cambro, said: “By visiting each site and carrying out an audit before providing our ‘back-of-house makeover’ the next day, we have been able to work closely with staff in each Lounge to make sure that we’re providing them with the most efficient, space-saving solution for their needs.”
