A leading luxury 5-star country house hotel in Somerset is shaking up its kitchen with the appointment of a new executive chef.
The Manor House, which is part of the Exclusive Hotels & Venues collection, has brought in Robert Potter to oversee culinary proceedings.
Potter joins The Manor House from Lucknam Park, where he has led the team at the Michelin starred The Park Restaurant for the last three years under the guidance of executive chef Hywel Jones.
Prior to his current head chef role at The Park, Potter was head chef at Michelin-starred gourmet gastropub The Royal Oak Paley Street in Berkshire under Dominic Chapman and prior to that, sous chef at Lucknam Park.
Potter said: “The Bybrook restaurant at Manor House has a fantastic culinary reputation, with its rearing of pigs, chickens, quails and ducks onsite as well as access to a well-stocked kitchen garden, so to be given the opportunity to make my mark on the dining experience at this iconic country house hotel is something I’m really proud of and excited by.”
The Manor House is a 14th-century country house hotel located in the village of Castle Combe on the outskirts of Bath, featuring 48 individually-designed bedrooms.
