MARKET TALK: Social media stardom, brand ‘landscaping’ and kitchens for flexible workforces

In this week’s episode of Market Talk, Brian Lavelle, sales manager at Culimat and Andrew Fordyce, group managing director at IFSE, discuss life at their respective businesses as they navigate the new normal.

Culimat oversees a number of leading brands that are distributed in the UK catering equipment sector and Mr Lavelle discusses how these have fared as foodservice operators have adapted their kitchen operations to changing trends. He also reveals how embracing social media at the start of lockdown has led to his phone ringing off the hook!

IFSE, meanwhile, entered 2020 on the back of a record year that saw it reach double digit sales figures for the first time. Mr Fordyce discusses how he’s dealt with the company hitting an all-time high and then having to contend with radically different market conditions.
