McDonald’s chief part of free industry webinar kicking off today

Food temperature monitoring specialist Checkit is today holding the first of a series of free webinars on key issues facing the foodservice industry.

At 3pm the company will host an hour-long webinar entitled ‘The Food Traceability Challenge for 2015’, addressing major supply chain issues for operators.

Food has often been on a long journey before it reaches the consumer and this journey has increased quite dramatically in recent years.

At the same time, the expectations of consumers have also increased and after a number of high-profile scandals many want to know exactly what they’re eating and where it’s come from. The volume of product sourced from overseas only adds to the scale of the challenge for operators.

Checkit has lined up a selection of key speakers for the webinar, including Dr Bizhan Pourkomailian, director of food safety and supplier workplace accountability at McDonald’s Europe and Sarah Daniels, chartered environmental health practitioner at The RedCat Partnership.

Richard Leathers, quality management systems specialist at Campden BRI and Dr Martin Nash, product manager at Elektron Technology are also on the panel.
