Meiko is providing a two-month warranty extension to all current customers in the NHS and care home sector whose warranty is due to expire in April 2020.
UK managing director Paul Anderson said he hoped the gesture would provide peace of mind for frontline customers at a time when they are under enormous pressure.
“The very last thing that a hospital or care home wants to worry about now are problems with the dishwashers,” he said.
“Our warranty extension for current Meiko customers means these users have the full back-up and support of Meiko Technical Services and our team of engineers operating nationwide.”
In the event of any technical issues, customers are advised to contact Meiko Technical Service and quote the code ‘APRIL20’ to benefit from the extension.
Meiko engineers continue to work as normal and are abiding by current hygiene and social distancing rules when entering premises.
Along with other major warewashing suppliers to the care industry and NHS, Meiko has committed to protecting customers and users of its machines in the event of breakdowns and serious maintenance issues.
Even if a care home or hospital has cases of the virus, Mr Anderson said its engineers will attend so long as the site has the correct hygiene practices in place and they can work in an isolated and controlled area with consideration to social distancing.
Earlier this month, juicing machine manufacturer Zumex also revealed it is extending warranties free of charge for two months to support customers through the crisis.
