Metro returns to UK market after agreeing Jestic partnership

Jestic Foodservice Solutions has signed a deal to become a master distributor of Metro commercial storage and shelving solutions, bringing the brand back to the UK market after a period of absence.

The deal will give Jestic’s customers access to the MetroMax and Super Erecta shelving systems, as well as Multistation prep tables, Mightylite insulated food carriers and a wide variety of Smartlever storage solutions and work stations.

Steve Morris, sales director at Jestic, said Metro’s storage and shelving solutions were widely recognised for their stability, efficiency and mobility.

“At a time when many foodservice businesses have had to adapt their offering by upscaling their delivery and take-away options, Metro products have already proved the solution for many QSR and fast food operators, by helping to improve the flow of takeaway order staging and streamlining delivery and collection preparation processes.”

Metro is represented in the Europe by sales and logistics agent Culimat, which has been working on the deal with Jestic since January.

“Having Jestic on board will allow us to reach an oven-ready audience of both end-users and distributors,” explained sales manager Brian Lavelle. “This is thanks to Jestic’s already well-established portfolio of products they represent, including Henny Penny, Vitamix and more recently Carlisle.

“Metro has not had direct representation in the UK since it was dropped many years ago but now, with a dedicated UK stocking partner, Metro can carry on being the best shelving and foodservice storage solutions manufacturer in the world.”
