Commercial microwaves specialist Bradshaw has been acquired by Nisbets, FEJ can reveal.
The Clevedon-based outfit, which has been supplying and servicing commercial appliances in the UK since 1975, is best known as the exclusive UK distributor of the Menumaster brand of microwaves and accelerated cooking products.
It will now become part of the Nisbets empire, potentially given it access to a huge customer base of caterers, operators and end-users.
Taking over Bradshaw will significantly enhance Nisbets’ microwave offering. Up to now it has perhaps best known for marketing Samsung microwaves.
The acquisition is the second that Nisbets has made this year having earlier snapped up Space Catering to expand its kitchen project capabilities.
Tim Carr, finance director at Nisbets, said the company was delighted to add Bradshaw to its stable. He commented: “Bradshaw is a family-based business that is located a few miles down the road from Nisbets’ head office in Bristol. It has been supplying Menumaster commercial microwaves to the hospitality sector for over 40 years and is a highly respected name in the industry. The acquisition represents a perfect opportunity for Nisbets to further enhance its product portfolio and servicing capabilities.”
Nisbets will continue to run Bradshaw’s as a separate business with current MD Phillip Bullivant staying on as a consultant during the transitionary period.
The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
