Middleby brews up beverage equipment acquisition to round out portfolio

The Middleby Corporation has acquired Synesso, a manufacturer of semi-automatic espresso machines for commercial use.

Synesso creates energy efficient, low maintenance espresso machines, and has expanded quickly, reporting $10m (£7.6m) in revenues.

Tim FitzGerald, CEO of Middleby, said the move would strengthen its offering in the beverage sector.
