Three respected members of the catering sector have joined together to launch a consultancy and training business aimed at helping hospitals and social care organisations improve the quality and consistency of their service provision.
Andy Jones, Derek Johnson and Caroline Lecko have set up their own professional advisory service to support individuals and organisations through bespoke services to deliver the highest standards of nutrition and hydration care. The business is called Nutrition and Hydration Associates.
The firm will develop bespoke courses on good nutrition and hydration for organisations, and provide an independent review and audit of existing catering services to support service improvement. It will also assist organisations in the implementation of national guidance and policy and offer advice on product development and new innovations coming to market.
“The consultancy has been formed after many requests for further help and support during the successful Nutrition and Hydration Weeks of the past few years,” Mr Jones, who previously worked for catering giant ISS and is a former chair of the Hospital Caterers Association, told FEJ.
According to its mission statement, the company will work to reduce risks and improve both the quality of care and life of patient and services users by creating a high quality consultancy service for the NHS, social care and independent providers. “The team will utilise its experience to ‘support the care sector, to remove confusion and promote best practice,” added Mr Jones (main picture).
Based in London, the Midlands and the North, the team will support all areas of the UK.
