Specifi is to launch Sp Virtual Next, an immersive digital event designed specifically for the foodservice equipment industry.
The inaugural edition will be held Wednesday, 30 September 2020. It will feature major industry speakers, real-time networking and a virtual exhibition and marketplace, where products and projects can be shown in virtual reality detail.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with each other, ask questions directly to speakers, explore ‘pods’ in the virtual exhibition, browse products and interact real-time with exhibitors.
Sp Virtual Next will host two types of ‘pods’ for their inaugural event.
Manufacturers already utilising the Specifi Studio platinum partnership programme will have the opportunity to take a virtual 3D stand with up to 10 pieces of equipment (plus accessories) and also up to three product videos.
These pods will allow the attendees to move around the space, interacting with equipment to see product codes, dimensions, service requirements and also promotional videos. This will be in addition to hosting a ‘static pod’.
The static pod is available to all manufacturers, dealers, designers, consultants and any other interested party that has a need to exhibit their equipment or projects to best get their message across. The static pod includes the chance to upload up to five products or projects along with PDF spec sheets and videos.
There will also be a chat room, a calendar to allow attendees to make an appointment for up to 30 days after the event, a ‘contact us’ facility and the opportunity to add a company video and biography. There will also be a networking area whereby attendees and manufacturers are able to connect and message with anyone that has signed into the exhibition.
The event promises major keynote speakers with a live Q&A session after each speaker and the opportunity for manufacturers to take video slots to promote their company and/or products.
Specifi’s VP sales for UK and Ireland, Nic Banner, who will be heading up the exhibition, commented: “We currently have availability for up to 100 pods, 20 of which will be a 3D experience and the remainder as static pods. We would very much like to host more 3D pods, however, given the timeframe involved, we felt that it was best to host this event with a manageable smaller number.
“One of the big advantages of hosting an online exhibition is that it is not just for the day. We will be making this exhibition available to exhibitors and attendees for a period of 30 days after the event. This way those that exhibit with us really get good value for money.”
