Mr Merritt-Harrison, who has served as the vice-chair of the foodservice consultants’ association for the past six months, seized the baton from Julian Edwards last week.

Mr Merritt-Harrison said that he has a clear vision of what the FCSI needs to do.

“My focus now is to build upon the excellent work undertaken by Julian during his tenure, to ensure that new and former members are welcomed into the FCSI family and to promote the society as the authoritative voice of the industry,” he said.

“It is also vital that we further promote the value of employing FCSI consultants, all of whom are required to give completely impartial, unbiased advice to their clients as specified by the FCSI’s strict Code of Conduct.”

Mr Merritt-Harrison will also continue to work closely with the FCSI in Europe and Worldwide to ensure that members have additional opportunities to develop their businesses and learn from the FCSI internationally.
