Nick started his career with the Royal Navy, training in culinary arts at both the Royal Naval Supply School and the Army School of Catering, before leaving to set up a purpose-built executive training centre with Cambridge University.

He then moved onto Compass where he won a string of awards, most notably for his role in the development of pre-flight dining at British Airways.

Today, Compass’ operations across the UK span more than 15,000 sites and millions of customers are served dishes provided by its culinary teams every day. Nick’s enthusiasm and passion for the industry — his involvement with the Craft Guild of Chefs has seen him become a voice for training and education —have certainly been an asset for one of the country’s most formidable catering firms.
