Nisbets makes first board appointment in over a year

Nisbets’ global head of commercial, James Wakeford, has joined the company’s board of directors.  

The news was confirmed in a filing to Companies House earlier this week and took effect from 1 January.

Mr Wakeford becomes the 12th individual to currently serve as a director at the Bristol-based firm and is the first board appointment the company has made in more than a year.

He joined the business last March from RS Components in a move that saw him team up again with Nisbets CEO Klaus Goeldenbot.

Mr Goeldenbot served as president of the industrial and electronic component specialist before stepping into the catering equipment sector.

Prior to taking on his post , Mr Wakeford also spent time in procurement and category management roles at companies such as Clarks and Compass Group.

Nisbets is the largest supplier of catering equipment in the UK market, with global sales of £392m in the last financial year for which accounts are available.
