Nisbets tweaks global structure with appointment of a UK MD

Robin White, managing director, UK and Ireland

Nisbets sales director Robin White has been promoted to the role of managing director for the UK and Ireland as part of a “wider strategic development” in its global structure.

The Bristol-based firm said the appointment – which sees Mr White accept new leadership responsibilities for the region – will serve to “align the UK and Ireland sales operations”.

Nisbets said it was continuing a more region-focused approach to the business, with a managing director for continental Europe already in place.

Mr White has a solid background in sales leadership, previously holding senior roles with Unipart, Ryder LTD and Nationwide Platforms, prior to joining Nisbets in two years ago.

He said: “I am honoured to accept my new position, and confident in our new direction of providing better regional focus for our customers.

“Retaining my responsibilities held as UK sales director, my team and I will now be able to focus on putting our UK and Ireland customers at the heart of our service, work more collaboratively with suppliers in the region and uphold Nisbets’ reputation as a trusted market leader.”

Klaus Goeldenbot, Nisbets group CEO, said he expects Mr White to play a key role in helping Nisbets drive sustained profitable growth for the future in the face of new and challenging market conditions.

“His performance as UK sales director proved his value, vision and expertise in our business.

“Robin will play a fundamental role in building stronger and more beneficial partnerships for our customers and suppliers in the UK and Ireland, and create a clearer alignment for our sales operations across the region.”
