Operators offered free Covid and food safety training resources until June

The Hospitality Learning Network has released a series of free training resources to help the industry reopen safely again.

Foodservice operators will be able to access them at no cost until June 2021.

They include Level 1 and Level 2 training on courses such as Covid safety and interactive forms to help businesses maintain food safety and HACCP records.

Story continues below

The food safety course will explore legislation, contamination, hazards, allergies and HACCP, while the Covid safety course addresses the ways in which employees can work safely with correct social distancing skills to protect individuals and customers.

To access these courses and resources, operators can register for free HERE.

After June, there will a 30% discount for a first year subscription, making it viable for a single hospitality operation to deliver training across its workforce.

The single price for training all staff at one location is designed to help businesses budget effectively and train every employee.

The Hospitality Learning Network resources have been written by Peter Jarrett, author of the City and Guilds Food Safety Manual, and the OER training resources for the 2012 Olympic Games.

These comprehensive courses provide a complete set of food safety learning resources which may be used as reference guide as well as establishing a food safety management system with hazard analysis and record keeping interactive forms.

Mr Jarrett featured in a special episode of Market Talk last year where he discussed the Covid-19 safety challenges facing hospitality operators. Click below to view the episode.
