A major FMCG business is searching for a catering equipment service firm to maintain dozens of beverages machines it has installed across more than 100 sites.
The unnamed operator, which is represented by fulfilment and supply specialist MDA, needs a reliable partner that can service the full range of Ugolini Artic orange juice machines that it owns.
The machines recently fell out of warranty and so the company is keen to appoint a dedicated service contractor as soon as possible.
Andrew Scanlon, head of sales and marketing at MDA, explained: “The client is looking at a minimum six-month contract to manage service maintenance and spare parts for Ugolini Artic machines, which require an average of four visits per week currently.”
The most common fault that a service partner would need to deal with involves breaking lugs, which can result in having to replace the whole top plate. Bowls will also likely need replacing as the machines age, while assistance is required with changing basic parts such as fans and impellers.
Mr Scanlon said it is seeking a service partner with the resources to be able to attend sites within 24 hours from a call made before 12.00 the prior day, and which can fix on site that day or within five days if specialist parts need ordering. The partner would also need to provide a nominated account manager as a single point of contact.
