Rare Restaurants, the owner of Gaucho and M restaurants, has announced the appointment of two key board members to drive the company’s next ‘ambitious chapter’ of growth.
The Investec and SC Lowy backed parent company of the two restaurant groups, has welcomed Jamie Mitchell, ex-CEO Tom Dixon, Daylesford and Innocent Drinks as non-executive chairman.
Gary Mann, Honest Burgers’ co-managing director and former CFO of Gaucho has joined also joined as non-executive director.
The pair bring with them a wealth of experience to Rare Restaurants which formed in April when the SC Lowy and Investec entity that acquired Gaucho in October 2018, acquired M Restaurants.
Micthell’s most recent culinary adventure was masterminding the opening of The Coal Office in London – the collaboration between British designer Tom Dixon and Israeli chef Assaf Granit.
He is also chairman at Keatz.com, a family of delivery-only restaurant brands operated from ‘Cloud Kitchens’ across Europe.
