Panasonic will be giving away exclusive Flint and Flame Santuko knives at the Commercial Kitchen show in June, it has revealed.
The brand will give away two chefs’ knives on both days of the show to mark the launch of its SCV-2 high speed oven.
Panasonic’s Speed Convection Oven is aimed at visitors from the food-to-go sector, a market estimated to be worth £16.1 billion in 2016.
With the food-to-go specialists (worth £4.6bn) in growth, and convenience and forecourt operators (worth £2.5bn) introducing dedicated food-to-go counters in stores, there is a need for a cost-effective alternative to the accelerated cooking options already available, according to the company.
“Our Speed Convection Oven was originally designed in conjunction with Starbucks in Japan and has been used across their estate for the last two years but it has now been developed for the UK market, giving us the opportunity to offer an oven with excellent build quality that will perform in a high throughput environment,” explains Iain Phillips, sales and marketing manager at Panasonic UK.
The SCV-2 is fitted with a catalytic converter for extraction-free cooking and has two inverters, cooled by four fans.
There is a full accessory kit and the oven can store up to 1,000 cooking programmes with images.
The oven also benefits from an easy-access, front mounted filter and sports compact dimensions; W 474mm x D 565mm x H 412mm.
