Panasonic has said it will be “easier to procure” its microwaves than ever before following a restructuring of its wholesale model in the UK.
As revealed last week, Regale Microwave Ovens has become the supply partner for its range of commercial microwaves and speed ovens.
The brand has a long-standing affiliation with Regale, but the deal takes the partnership to a new level by giving the distributor direct access into its factory ordering system.
With Panasonic also recently tying up with catering equipment buying group ENSE, the manufacturer believes it is now well-placed to nurture its dealer network, which in turn will benefit operators.
Commenting on Regale’s appointment as Supply Partner for the first time since the deal became public last week, Panasonic’s European sales manager, Jared Greenhalgh, explained: “This means that now, any operator will be able to purchase a Panasonic oven from their preferred supplier, either via our direct distribution network or through a distributor supplied by Regale, who will be offering an unrivalled service to any distributor who doesn’t have an account with us directly, making it easier to procure Panasonic microwaves.”
Regale said it is fully prepared for the enhanced role it will now play in Panasonic’s UK distribution model, including providing stock availability at a time when global supply setbacks are presenting challenges across the board.
Iain Phillips, deputy managing director at Regale, said: “Normally, Regale would hold ample stock of the entire Panasonic range but one of the advantages for the operator of this new partnership is that we will be running forecasts directly with the Panasonic factory ordering system ensuring enough stock to satisfy demand.
“All orders received by 2pm will be dispatched that day, on a next-working day service, with free delivery too.”
