Papa John’s is helping holiday parks take advantage of the anticipated staycation boom this summer with a variety of franchised solutions for contactless delivery.
The company is looking to partner with venues that want to expand their food proposition as demand for UK staycations soars.
Justin Gilbert senior operations director at Papa John’s UK, said it could now offer flexible options for the contactless delivery of its pizza in line with government guidelines.
He explained: “For larger resorts, a franchised Papa John’s can be built on-site, which can deliver to both visitors and local community residents to create employment and a reliable revenue stream all year round.
“For smaller sites, franchised mobile units offer a low-cost, flexible entry point, particularly suited to multi-venue ownership where pizza delivery can be alternated on different days for different sites. Our mobile units are also suitable for leisure venues, stadiums and at events when restrictions allow the safe return of visitors.”
St Andrews Holiday Park is one of the most sought-after holiday locations on the east coast of Scotland and it has added a Papa John’s kitchen to its food portfolio.
David Evans, chairman of Abbeyford Leisure, which owns the park, said that the brand brings kudos to its food offer.
“It’s a well-known global brand with a great reputation for fabulous food which adds to our own value proposition. There is nothing our visitors like more than to enjoy their favourite pizza on the balcony on a glorious summer evening, overlooking the bay.”
Mr Gilbert said that Papa John’s provides comprehensive support, training and national marketing to those that take on a franchise.
“We’ve been talking to more and more holiday resort operators who can see the benefits of adding a quality hot food offering for visitors through a leading global brand,” he said.
