PKL, the UK’s largest temporary and modular kitchen infrastructure provider, has been offering Professional Kitchen Show visitors the chance to take a special trial of its ‘Garbage Guzzler’ food waste system.
Visitors to its stand today have been filling in their details to see if they qualify for a free test of the machine, which pledges to save operators money while helping the environment at the same time.
The Guzzler takes any food waste and breaks it down, usually in just 24 hours, into a material that can be used as soil improver or biomass fuel.
PKL is selecting companies for a special free 10-day trial of the machine. It will deliver, install and setup the machine and provide full training to staff in its day to day operation.
The company has seen a massive upturn in interest in food waste solutions over the last year and claims caterers are beginning to realise they can save money by reducing their waste collections and getting rid of vermin problems.
By stopping the methane produced by rotting food, reducing the road miles caused by waste collections and helping to return carbon to the ground rather than releasing it into the atmosphere, the Garbage Guzzler provides a range of environmental benefits.
Visitors to stand 360 can fill in a questionnaire to see if they are eligible for a free trial.
“We’re delighted to be exhibiting with the Garbage Guzzler, a product that is gaining a lot of interest thanks to its remarkable ability to deal with unavoidable food waste and save businesses money whilst protecting the environment,” said PKL group sales manager Karen Rumsey.
