The last 12 months have been among the most exciting that Rosa’s Thai Cafe has known following the sale of a majority stake in the business to global private equity firm TriSpan, which counts former YO! Sushi chief Robin Rowland as an operating partner.
The Rosa’s brand was born from co-founder Saiphin Moore’s passion for Thai food, with the first site opening back in 2008 and trading from 13 premises today.
The quality and authenticity of the food has been central to the company’s success and Saiphin prides herself on spending every working day in a Rosa’s kitchen.
She famously creates each dish on the menu, taking inspiration from her family recipes or places that she has lived in.
Following the takeover, Saiphin remains involved in the business with husband Alex, focusing on the group’s culture and innovation and driving food quality.
They set up Rosa’s Thai Cafe to be a progressive, responsive and thoughtful group of restaurants and new owner TriSpan will undoubtedly look to tap into that ethos as it bids to write the next chapter of the chain’s history.
