CESA has revealed its plans to inform and stimulate guests at its forthcoming annual conference with a ‘provocative’ line-up of speakers, including ex-Tory politician Michael Portillo.
The conference, which is built around the theme of ‘Moving Forward in a Changing World’, features a strong agenda of speakers, with Simon Stenning, executive director of MCA Insight, Robin Clark, restaurant services director of Just Eat, Jeremy White of Wired magazine and digital technology guru Gary Meehan all providing insight on subjects affecting the catering equipment supply chain.
Mr Portillo, who has been labelled the “greatest leader the Conservative party never had” will bring the show to a close, sharing his views on economic and political life. He was chief treasury secretary before leading both employment and defence secretary before being rejected by the voters of Enfield and Southgate.
After the conference and CESA AGM, which is taking place on Thursday November 16, there is the annual Gala Dinner, with the presentation of the FCSI Sustainable Equipment Award and the industry’s Outstanding Achievement Award.
This year’s event will be chaired by BBC business reporter Steph McGovern.
