Rational is hoping that its sales in Ireland will get a boost after its SelfCookingCenter models were added to a national list of the most energy efficient products.

The company’s flagship combi oven will now appear on the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland Triple E register for businesses.

It aims to highlight energy efficient equipment, thereby helping businesses to reduce energy costs and cut carbon emissions.

“We are delighted that both the electric and gas SelfCookingCenter models have been listed, recognising the Rational energy efficient credentials,” said Simon Lohse, managing director of Rational UK.

“In fact, the SEAI states that they regularly update its criteria and aim to ensure that only the top 10% to 15% of the most energy efficient products in any technology are listed.”

Mr Lohse added that becoming an approved Triple E supplier will give Irish customers confidence that they are investing in a best-in-class product that meets a minimum recognised testing standard.

In addition to the product benefits, customers investing in Triple E-registered equipment can benefit from the Accelerated Capital Allowance tax incentive scheme.
