Rational is launching a comprehensive update of its free ConnectedCooking app, the digital kitchen management system first introduced five years ago.

One of the first things that users will notice about the 2022 ConnectedCooking app is the revised start page, which ensures the very latest content, such as new recipes and videos, appear automatically.

The search function has also been expanded to make it as comprehensive and user-friendly as possible.

One of ConnectedCooking’s most popular features is the global recipe library, which is constantly being updated with new ideas to inspire creativity.

The latest version of the app makes it easier for operators to create and upload recipes to their cooking systems, and works with dictation and direct image recording.

Adam Knights, marketing director at Rational UK, said: “Connectivity has gained a lot of traction with our customers over the past 24 months. Operators are embracing the benefits that digital technology can bring. Our latest version of the ConnectedCooking app features a new user interface designed to make navigation easier and faster.”

ConnectedCooking gives users and their service providers an overview of all networked Rational cooking systems which, with the help of the app, they can access directly.

HACCP data can be checked and downloaded, and equipment, application and cleaning details can be viewed.

The app can show if a cooking system is not operating correctly, warning service providers and managers in advance of potential component failure, thus minimising downtime.

Mr Knights said the app has reinforced Rational’s position as a pioneer in terms of utilising digitalisation to enhance kitchen efficiency over the last five years.

“ConnectedCooking has continued to evolve and is now synonymous with Rational’s dedication to customer service and added value,” he said.

The revised ConnectedCooking app is available free of charge via Google Play or App Store.
