Rational staffers scale Britain’s highest peaks for industry cause

Rational Three Peaks team at Scafell Pike

A team of employees from Rational have completed the Three Peaks Challenge – the feat of scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours – for charity.

Nine intrepid team members took part in the challenge, with four of the group – technical sales director Graham Kille, corporate chef Tom Bentham, customer service technician Will Matthews and key accounts director Lee Harding – achieving their goal within the time limit.

Despite the glorious weather conditions of the past few weeks, the team experienced terrible weather, with rain, hail and high winds during their adventure.

Rational’s team were walking for the charity Hospitality Action and their endeavours have so far raised more than £1,300.

Hospitality Action is the hospitality industry’s charity, helping past and present workers of all ages who are in crisis. It offers financial aid and information and also supports a youth guidance scheme educating on alcohol and drugs misuse.

“Despite the appalling weather conditions that the team faced, this was a great experience for us all, said marketing director Adam Knights. “We would like to thank our dealer partners, customers and staff who have donated money to our team and in turn to this great industry cause.”
