Rational suspends live training events and ramps up external support

Rational has suspended all face-to-face training events with immediate effect – but reassured customers it is still offering next-day delivery and installation on its equipment despite the crisis.

The company said this morning that the wellbeing of UK stakeholders remains its top priority and it has taken steps to minimise any risk of exposing people to the virus, while at the same time ensuring maximum business continuity.

It has pressed pause on its Rational Academies, including its popular SelfCookingCenter and VarioCookingCenter Live events, while office personnel will now work from home but remain contactable via its usual office number.

In the abscence of live training, Rational is directing customers to its free training app, which combines a vast array of resources, such as videos showing how to cook specific recipes, carry out maintenance tasks and access support.

Customers with questions on preparation methods, settings and cooking paths can also use its ChefLine service (07743 389863) to speak directly with a Rational chef who can advise on the cooking systems.

Managing director Simon Lohse told FEJ earlier this month that Rational has sufficient UK stocks and today the company reaffirmed that next-day delivery and installation is still available to operators „as far as it is practicable“.

Meanwhile, its national network of accredited Rational Service Partners is working as normal and can be located via its website.

Service partners have conducted their own individual Covid-19 risk assessments and have taken necessary precautions to protect their staff and customers, Rational said.
