Raymond Blanc planning sustainability rallying call at HRC

Raymond Blanc

Raymond Blanc will give a rousing call to action for sustainability to be taken seriously at next week’s HRC Show in London.

The TV chef, who runs his own chain of restaurants as well as the acclaimed Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, will appear at the show on Wednesday 4 March, to open the ‘Sustainable Hospitality 2020: Food Made Good with the Sustainable Restaurant Association’ conference programme.

Mr Blanc currently serves as the SRA’s president.

The conference has been curated in response to delegate demand for a solutions-focused event tackling the issues most pressing for operators, their customers and the planet.

The SRA has identified the key issues, including food waste reduction, decarbonising menus, giving people a purpose and paring back plastic and packaging.

A range of industry champions have been assembled to lead a full day of practical masterclasses, workshops and panel sessions designed to help operators minimise their impact on the environment.

Mr Blanc will be on stage at 9.30am. The full programme can be viewed HERE.
