Liebherr boasts refrigeration solutions to suit all types of operators and, as commercial sales manager Mark Cooke explains, it has invested in making sure that customers have access to the most energy efficient products around.
What makes Liebherr’s offering stand out?
Liebherr’s commercial refrigeration range is extensive, offering German-engineered quality at attractive prices, with laboratory-tested energy efficiency and most models at the A rating. Multi-site operators can find value-for-money undercounter cabinets, drinks display units and wine storage solutions right through to heavy duty, large capacity refrigerators for volume operations.
What would you describe as the standout feature of your offering?
The standout feature is that Liebherr uses only the highest quality materials, such as moulded 304 s/stainless steel for interiors, refrigerants R600a and R290 that are environmentally friendly and excellent quality compressors, condensers and evaporators for energy efficiency. The outcome for the customer is a long working life and assured payback on their investment from trouble-free operation and low energy use.
What’s the key thing an operator should bear in mind these days when specifying refrigeration?
Key to the specification of refrigeration is the climate class of the cabinets being considered. Put simply, this relates to the environment the cabinets are to be situated in and the ambient temperature of the surroundings. Typically, Liebherr refrigerators operate from +1˚C to +15˚C offering a good temperature range depending on the items that need to be refrigerated and the kitchen or environment where they are located, although our GKPv 6590 and GKPv 6570 both operate as low as -2˚C to +15 ˚C. The temperature range is easily and accurately controlled with data feedback if required.
What’s the newest innovation that Liebherr has introduced to its portfolio?
At Liebherr GB we’ve listened to comments with regard to the expectations and requirements of the UK foodservice market place and introduced factory-fitted castors on our range of heavy duty foodservice cabinets. The GKPv single and double door (refrigerators) & GGv single and double door (freezers) with stainless steel interior and exterior and the GKv single door (refrigerators) and GGv single door (freezers) with stainless steel exterior all now provide operators with flexibility to manoeuvre freely from goods-in, while also facilitating the operator during cleaning.
What does your heavy duty refrigeration range look like?
Liebherr’s heavy duty refrigeration range includes the impressive GKPv and GGv 1490 and 1470 ProfiPremiumline and Profiline double-door refrigerator and freezer cabinets, which boast an impressive gross/net capacity of 1361/1056l, ideal for large and busy commercial kitchens. What’s equally impressive is that each cabinet can be split into two down the middle for kitchen spaces that would not normally allow access to their 1430 x 830 x 2120mm dimensions.
Liebherr GB is part of the global Liebherr multi-industry, multi-sector business which has dedicated resources to business elements like refrigeration testing laboratories to provide proven energy efficiency, low noise levels and the development of leading-edge materials and technology for its foodservice refrigerators.
This adds to customer confidence in the UK. Another key strength of Liebherr in the UK market is its stockholding. As a Germany-based manufacturer it might be assumed that lead-times on Liebherr cabinets are extensive and restrictive, but this could not be further from the truth.
It holds stock in the UK and most models are ready to ship within two to three days.
