Refrigeration supplier promises kit will cost less to run

Gamko Maxiglass

Refrigeration manufacturer Gamko is promising massive utility savings for operators after updating its Maxiglass drinks cooler range with the addition of Hydrocarbon refrigerant as standard.

The brand said that its Maxiglass Noverta Premium back-bar cooler will be £125 a year cheaper to run following the adoption of R600 Hydrocarbon. Overall it lowers power consumption by up to 43% according to the firm, which is a sister company of Foster Refrigerator.

The Maxiglass professional drinks cooling range includes both single and double door undercounter units, with solid or glass fronted doors.

The Noverta range was initially launched by Gamko three years ago, offering bars and restaurants large capacity drinks cooling and display, holding a maximum 315 litres. The latest incarnation of that model called Noverta Premium, features the same high-quality refrigeration as its predecessor, but with the added bonus of the lower power consumption.

Martin Toms, product manager of Gamko UK said: “Maxiglass has always been energy efficient thanks to the range of technologies we use and how we manufacture. Using Hydrocarbon refrigerants adds to this offering, lowering the energy use significantly to give customers a tangible monthly cost saving.”

Gamko’s range of plug and play undercounter coolers features electronic thermostat displays, door locks, adjustable wire mesh shelves and efficient LED lighting.
