Des Gunewardena, CEO and chairman of D&D, said: “I have known Lena for many years. She will bring to D&D the entrepreneurial drive needed to make our outside catering and events business the substantial success which I believe it can be.”

Björck will work closely with Mark Ivackovic, D&D’s sales director, who continues to oversee sales within D&D venues.

“I am really excited about our joint venture,” said Björck. “I think that the combination of my experience in delivering memorable events and D&D’s expertise in developing successful businesses will make a great partnership.”

D&D London is one of Europe’s leading high quality restaurant groups and owns and operates more than 30 venues in London, Leeds, Paris, New York and Tokyo. D&D also owns the 80-bedroom luxury South Place Hotel in London.
