Revolution Bars Group is to expand in the South of England with a bar and restaurant in Torquay.

The company plans to open the 130-cover site, which will be located at the Fleet Walk Shopping Centre, in June.

It will take the operator’s portfolio to 68 sites in the UK.

The 3,800 square foot premises in Torquay will feature a large ground floor bar utilising natural timber, concrete, metal and a suspended 70s Scandi-style ceiling made of compressed straw slabs.

A contemporary menu of British and Stateside classics will complement a premium proposition of experimental cocktails, with the new bar also offering masterclasses, entertainment and bespoke party packages.

Mark McQuater, CEO of Revolution Bars Group, said the company expects the site to be a big success: “Torquay welcomes over three million visitors a year and is fast becoming an increasingly popular destination in the South of England,” he commented.

Revolution Bars Group has just opened a site in at Southend-on-Sea. That and the Torquay restaurant have led to the company taking on an extra 200 staff.
