Rising street food star moves into fixed retail

Gourmet Goat

Rising street food star Gourmet Goat has opened its first fixed indoor unit on Rochester Walk in London just two years after the business was founded.

The company has quickly acquired a reputation for serving top quality East Mediterranean dishes showcasing kid goat sourced exclusively from British dairy farms since it began trading at Borough Market.

Its dishes are intended to support the UK dairy industry by promoting the deeply flavourful healthy meat of billies that would otherwise be needlessly slaughtered.

The larger fixed kitchen space will allow Gourmet Goat to add new seasonal specials to its menu, such as Kid Goat Stifado, a traditional Greek stew prepared with sweet slow-cooked onions, Greek red wine vinegar reduction, cinnamon and bay, accompanied by giant couscous and grated anari.

The owners of Gourmet Good received further good news recently when it was announced that they are one of three finalists for ‘Best Streetfood or Takeaway’ in this year’s BBC Food and Farming Awards.
