POWER LIST 2016, CHAIN CHAMPIONS: Robert Beacham, Co-owner, Le Bistrot Pierre

Le Bistrot Pierre

When Le Bistrot Pierre arranged a multimillion pound development capital financing deal three years ago to help it double the number of outlets by 2017, it sent out a clear message to the market that it was planning to expand more aggressively than at any point in its 22-year history.

With that project three-quarters of the way complete, the established French restaurant group can look back with a quiet sense of satisfaction that it has hit all its markers. robert-beacham-person-right

Co-owner Robert Beacham has just opened the 16th site — and one of its largest yet — in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, while a branch in the up-and-coming town of Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield, is next on the agenda.

Situated in Mulberry Walk, a £20 million leisure and retail development, Bistrot Pierre is replicating its Newport site, which remains one of the group’s most successful bistrots since launching in November last year.

Robert says the opportunity to open in Mulberry Walk, was an opportunity too good to miss. “The bistrot will be a welcome addition to our growing portfolio across the UK as Mere Green benefits from major regeneration and is in a sought-after location. I’m confident it will be a popular choice for locals when it opens in early 2017,” he says.
