Scottish fine dining restaurant Six by Nico is to open its first restaurant south of the border, setting up shop in Manchester next month.
The new restaurant will be the fourth opened by Scottish-Italian chef Nico Simeone, who currently has branches in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast.
Simeone has plans to expand further across the UK following the opening of his Manchester restaurant, which will be based in the Manchester Media Centre.
He said, “We are very excited to bring an unforgettable culinary experience to Manchester. It was the obvious choice when looking for our first site in England thanks to its thriving food and drink scene.
“We have been overwhelmed by the success and the appeal of our first ‘Six by Nico’ sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast, and we couldn’t be more delighted about bringing a completely new offering and dining experience to the people of Manchester.”
Simeone’s restaurants are home to a constantly evolving menu, with guests served six dishes based on a particular theme, which changes every six weeks.
Previous themes that have inspired the Six by Nico team include street markets of the Middle East and a journey across Route 66 in America.
The first restaurant was opened in Glasgow in 2017, with the concept born from “a passion of experimenting with new ingredients and developing and creating unique dishes.”
