Canadian coffee brand Second Cup Coffee Company has officially opened its newest UK café in London with seating for over 50 guests, across from the Putney Exchange and within walking distance of the Thames.

This comes hard on the heels of a new site opened in Harrow’s  St Ann’s Shopping Centre.

The Canandian chain intends to open new sites, including and Cardiff and Kensington, and is seeking new franchisees for additional development in the UK.

“We are very excited about our continuous UK expansion and can’t wait for all of the new cafes to open.

“Growth, quality and innovation have always been at the cornerstone of our brand and we look forward to introducing our UK guests to the Master Crafted Signature Tea program.

“We are already well known for our assortment of Rain Forest Alliance coffees, delicious food, fresh cold-pressed juices, all natural frozen yogurt; it was a matter of time until we found the perfect teas to help enhance our guest’s experiences”, said Jim Ragas, president & CEO of The Second Cup Coffee Company.

Until now Second Cup locations were centred on Manchester, Birmingham and on the Portobello Road.

Established in 1975 in Toronto, Second Cup has over 160 cafés operating across 30 regions worldwide and offers coffees made from speciality coffee beans, alongside iced teas, frozen shakes, smoothies and more.
